BETTER ENVIRONMENT FOR A BETTER FUTURE
Our entire team is dedicated to the conservation of our environment. From the consideration of environmental aspects in operations that are part of our business to voluntary actions in which we drive initiatives such as reforestation, water care and the responsible handling of waste, we involve our employees, communities and authorities in the areas where we have a presence. In one instance of our commitment to the environment, we reforested several areas in the municipalities where we operate, having produced and planted over 35,000 native tree species in 2017 alone.

EDUCATION FOR OUR EMPLOYEES
Each employee is the most important part of our team. We are convinced that when someone grows professionally and personally, the entire organization benefits and achieves better and more satisfactory results.
We here in the company support the academic training of our employees, primarily through an educational leveling program with the methodology of the Guatemalan Institute for Radio-Based Education (IGER), which is available to 100% of the members of the organization.
Our goal is to make sure that each of the individuals who form part of our company has the best tools at his or her disposal to perform his or her work, while also receiving opportunities for personal growth in the labor market.
BETTER EDUCATION IN OUR COMMUNITIES
Education is the fundamental pillar for generating development in our country. For us, it is imperative to contribute to improving the education conditions in the communities where our operations are found.
By getting everyone involved, we can contribute to making sure that the educational processes for children and youth in our communities offer better conditions for them to become the professionals and technicians of tomorrow, ready to take on the challenges to development that our society so deeply needs.

Responsible Operations
We maintain close ties with the communities in our area of influence, with which we develop informational activities about the various tasks involved in the production of sugar.
Dialog and respectful communication are the common thread across the many meetings we have with leaders, neighbors and authorities. We foster an operation that mitigates its impacts in a culturally appropriate manner, and we maintain an open-door policy to address the requests that are regularly presented to us.
